The GI SMART project is pleased to announce its collaboration in the 6th European event on quality and origin products, organised by partner AREPO on 23 April 2026 in Brussels.
Hosted at the Common House of the Regions (Emilia-Romagna, Hessen, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Wielkopolska), this longstanding European gathering brings together EU and regional institutions, producers, researchers and key agri-food stakeholders to discuss European quality policies.
The 6th edition will feature two main moments:
- 2.00 PM – 6.30 PM | EU high level conference: “From research to action: guiding future EU Policies to enhance territorial impacts of Geographical Indications”
- 7.00 PM – 10.30 PM | Tasting of regional quality products from AREPO member regions
The conference will contribute to ongoing discussions on the future of the GI sector, particularly in the context of the post-2027 CAP and the future EU Action Plan on Geographical Indications, by bringing together scientific research and policy guidance.
Importantly, the event will also constitute the third meeting of the GI SMART EU multi-actor-platform.Â
